Technical reserves are an important factor in the solvency of our Company.

The calculation of technical reserves is made in accordance with empirical method on the basis of available data and in accordance with the usual practice applied by professional reinsurers.

On 31 December 2009 we allocated an additional amount retained of HRK 11,408,442 to the technical reserves, thus pushing up our net technical reserves to HRK 410,594,207. Loss reserves account for nearly 80% of this amount.

The control and verification of our technical reserves was carried out by our certified actuary.
