Although premium income was on the decrease and losses on the increase on the domestic insurance market, Croatia Lloyd managed to deliver a positive technical result in 2009, with investment income being the major contributor to our good final result.

In conditions of crisis continuation in 2009, we realised a gross profit of HRK 35,923,239, and an after-tax profit of HRK 28,099,090.




















As always, we would like to thank Croatia osiguranje, our majority owner and our largest cedant, for their understanding and support. We would also like to thank all other cedants that purchase their reinsurance protection from us, all brokers who help us in our retrocession business and, of course, to all our retrocessionaires. A continued support from our partners made, both their and Croatia Lloyd's, good business results possible, and our successful cooperation is of benefit to insureds, our shareholders, our staff, and the wider community.

We wish to close by thanking all our employees for their continued support and dedication under difficult circumstances over the past 12 months.
